At this event, Amanda Cariaga, pictured on the far left, performed in a trio with WMCU members Sanjana Yeddula and Sriya Chinthalapudi. On her experience at the event, she said,
“This was the first time my trio performed together in public for the enjoyment of others. My trio was established around a month before performing and it was fun to get together and perform for the people passing by our booth at Communiversity. This process of meeting and preparing only once or twice helped motivate me to perfect my part for each piece and make sure we all work together and cooperate during our limited time for practice. This was a really great opportunity to increase my confidence in playing music in front of others and to support the New Jersey Music Teachers’ Association. It was amazing bringing smiles to other people’s faces as part of Where Music Carries Us.“
