On September 3rd 2024, Albert, as WMCU Exeter NH local chapter president, organized a concert at Langdon Place Exeter. Four students Andrew Su (bagpiper), Katie Hu (soprano), Evan Fan (pianist) and Albert Zhu (bariton) from Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA) performed. Andrew Su played bagpipe music “Amazing Grace”. Katie Hu sang love songs “Moon River” and “Can’t help falling in love”. Evan Fan, the seasoned pianist, played two classical piano pieces by Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Albert sang classical repertoire “Lydia” and “The Vagabond”. Senior residents at Langdon Place very much enjoyed the concert. It was the first time a bagpipe was performed at the residence. A PEA teacher, Mrs Bergofsky whose mother lives in Langdon Place happened to visit her mom and watched the concert. She was so impressed and excited about the students contributing to the senior center’s social life, she even offered to liaison with the school in case transportation is needed for future performances.
